What is the Community Action Team?

The Community Action Team is a new club and society at Bournemouth University which consists of a group of dedicated volunteers who help out and try to improve the local community and environment.

During the year we will be getting involved with many community events, have monthly litter picks, monthly bric and brac fundraising stalls and basically enjoy Bournemouth whilst trying to Make A Difference.
Membership is free and the team is open to all students.
You can do as little or as much as you like!

Can it link in with anything else at the University?

Of course! If you are on the Leadership Programme you can volunteer with us and earn hours towards gaining your Bronze level Leadership in Action Award.

For those of you on Silver and Gold you can even lead or organise your own events with us.

Some of you on courses related to events may be interested in creating your own events with us also.

The Community Action Team will often be linking in with other areas of SUBU including RAG and MAD Day volunteering.

We also link in with external clubs such as Bournemouth Rotaract Club.

How can I find out more or contact the club?

Please join our facebook group to keep updated with news and events.
