Oxjam is a music festival with a difference: YOU make it happen! Oxfam’s most ambitious music event kicked off in October 2008 and is running through until March 2009.
During this time, across the country hundreds of music events are being organised and we need you to get involved to help raise money for Oxfam’s work to end poverty and suffering. Oxfam are currently looking for volunteer Music Event Organisers - your Oxjam event could be anything – an informal open mic night, a buskathon or even a Battle of Bands. Use your imagination to create a unique event and raise awareness and much needed money for Oxfam.
You’ll make useful contacts, meet new people, and improve your organisational skills. Organising an Oxjam event is a fantastic opportunity to create your own work experience – great for the CV.
You don't need a big venue - the beauty of Oxjam is that hundreds of small events make one huge party. And you make it happen. Sound good? Take a look at our website www.oxfam.org.uk/oxjam and download the Oxjam toolkit for more ideas on how to make your Oxjam event a glittering success.
To apply to be an event organiser, register on thehub and look for 'Oxjam Music Event Organisers' on the search page.
