Be part of the 2012 Olympics!

Have you ever thought about being part of the London 2012 Olympic and paralympic games?  If so, then this is your chance!

RELAYS (Regional Educational Legacy in Arts and Youth Sport) is a programme of linked cultural and sporting opportunities grounded in education and community engagement that will generate a positive legacy beyond 2012.

RELAYS will inspire and engage young people and their diverse communities to participate in, produce and promote cultural work and sporting activity that is responsive to, and respectful of, people and place.

Whether you are on a sports, events, marketing or media course, there are opportunities for you to be involved.

We are looking for students with a wide variety of skills to be involved in a series of events between now and the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic games.  We are offering students from both BU and The Arts Institute at Bournemouth (AiB) the opportunity to take part in one of the flagship Cultural Olympiad projects for the South West; imagine that on your CV?!

If you would like to be involved, all we ask of you is:

  • A commitment of 6 weeks prior to the event taking place and 2 weeks post event.
  • An enthusiasm and passion to be involved in an exciting Olympic project!

If you are interested in getting involved in RELAYS and being a part of a lasting legacy in Dorset for the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic games, then apply for the Olympic Legacy Beach Festival opportunity on thehub

For students from the AiB, contact Jo Gardner (Cultural Coordinator) on 01202 363745, or jgardner@aib.ac.uk
